Sunday Blustery Sunday

Johnsonville 208/5 (20), D Croft 1-25 (2), B Stonnell 1-33 (3)
Wildcats 161 (16), T Goodhind 50* (30), D Croft 36 (20)

Johnsonville got a good start and we struggled to take wickets.

Classic Wildcats catching made a strong re-appearance. Patrick would have been impressed with how concreted our hands were. 209 looked to be a tough, but gettable, target.

Adam and Ben opened up and made great use of the wind. The 34-run opening stand was broken in the 3rd over. Croft and Couper also hit a few very big ones down the ground. Couper made 15 from 9. When Wynton’s wicket fell we were tracking the run-rate well, with 6-61 from 6 overs.

The key partnership was Croft-Goodhind, taking us to 117-7. In the end we ran out of batsmen, with Nando,Will, Dan N, and Swoops all falling at the end.

It was pretty unfortunate for us that all of Johnsonville’s fieldsmen have spiderman’s hands.
